An Ocean Swim, a Bike Ride and a Gewurztraminer: My Perfect Day TriathlonPosted by Jessica Oman
It’s Day 5 of the 30-Day Blog Challenge! Today we’re talking about what a perfect day looks like to you – and how your business can help you create more of those days.
I’d love for you to share your definition of a perfect day in the comments. I’ll get you started with my own vision and share how I’m planning Write Ahead to make more of these days happen.
Every time I go to the beach, I want to jump in the water – especially if it’s an ocean. So my perfect day has to involve swimming in the ocean. I’ll get up early – before most people are out and about – and take in the salty water, the fresh air and the soft sand. I hate driving, so I’ll ride my bike there, and then cycle over to a cafe that makes great americanos to check my email and figure out what work needs to be done that day.
Taking Natalie’s advice, I’ll create three essential to-do items that must be done that day, and get them all done before noon. That’s about when the hubby will get back from golfing, so then we’ll have a nice lunch and chill in the back yard for a bit.
I’m really not sure what happens in the afternoon; I might do a little more work on the business or work on a home project. Around dinner or a little later, we’ll join a friend or two (and this is where the Gewurztraminer comes in). Of course, it will be warm enough to enjoy the sunset on a patio.
As I write this, I feel a little pang of guilt – do I deserve this? Do you need to know about this vision? Will you judge me? I hope you’ll be inspired to create your own vision and then plan your business to accommodate it. I hope you became an entrepreneur because you want to have days like this, too.
