Just How Much Beach Can I Handle? The 30-Day Blog Challenge, Day 23Posted by Jessica Oman
In yesterday’s post I confessed to you that my happy place is being by the beach. This is probably true for many of you, too. But just how long do you think you could handle being away from home – or not having a home – before you’d feel compelled to settle down for a while?
As you design and plan your business to support your ideal lifestyle, it’s easy to get caught up in the idea of travelling to new places all the time. But as Natalie points out in yesterday’s 30-day blog challenge post, there are downsides. Loneliness and exhaustion are just a couple of them.
Today we’re challenged to explore our “nomadic quotient” – our tolerance for being away from home all the time. I do feel torn between the dream of constant travel and the stability of a place to call my own. My dog would certainly prefer the latter.
If you’re on our newsletter (and if not – get on it at the end of this post!) then you know that Write Ahead’s business plan sucks right now. So we’re fixing it. And part of fixing it means making sure that the plan supports my goal of being away from Vancouver for 3-6 months per year, while also supporting you and everything you want to do in your businesses. Because if it doesn’t, you’re not happy and neither am I.
If you’re still struggling with balancing your business and your personal lifestyle goals, and you happen to be in Vancouver at the end of November, you’re not going to want to miss a special announcement we’ll be making in just a few short weeks.
