Keeping Your Focused Business Mindset: The 30-Day Blog Challenge, Day 7Posted by Jessica Oman
When you’re planning a new business, there’s a lot going on and you probably feel like you’re being stretched in many different directions. Welcome to the life of an entrepreneur! It’s unlikely that this feeling will ever go away completely, but there are some great tools and resources you can use to create a lifestyle that you can sustain and enjoy as you grow your awesome little company.
In today’s post from the 30-day blog challenge, I’ll go over a few that work for me.
1. Resources for daily exercise: Whenever I slack off on my morning workout, my stress levels skyrocket. When I don’t have time for my regular P90x routine, I hit up a shorter workout from Fitness Blender. They have hundreds of videos from 5-95 minutes long, so you’re guaranteed to find something that’ll fit your schedule.
2. Basecamp. I don’t know where I’d be without Basecamp for project management. No matter where I am in the world, I can log into Basecamp and get updated on every project we’re working on. Of course, this requires that our clients use it properly – but the benefits for them are really significant because then they’re always up to date, too! It’s usually really easy to get clients on board with this amazing cloud-based tool.
3. My business plan. (You knew this was coming, didn’t you?) When I feel like I’m losing direction I have my business plan to refer back to. I update it, revisit our Mission and Vision, and set a few new objectives to get back on track. Looking at those long-term goals again makes it so much easier to focus on the short term!
