Taking Advantage of Event Marketing: An ExamplePosted by sabrina
Event marketing is a unique way to promote your company because it allows you to connect directly with your customers. Live events can create an avenue to position yourself and your business as a leader and expert in your industry. Building community engagement through live events can increase your company’s brand awareness as customers directly experience what your brand is all about. The live and personal approach also provides an opportunity to conduct some primary market research by tapping directly into the minds of your customers.
If you own a small business you can still take advantage of this powerful marketing tool even if you have a small budget to work with. Community engagement can be nurtured through in-house seminars and workshops. For example, if you’re a contractor, try holding monthly DIY renovation tutorials. Or, if you’re a fabric store, why not host a fashion show featuring customer creations using your product? Events such as these will give your potential customers the opportunity to experience your product and brand first-hand. The goal is to create a useful and memorable experience while showing off what it is that you do best.
The Write Ahead team recently had the pleasure of attending our client Kale & Nori’s Bittered Sling Bistro event. Bittered Sling Bistro is a bi-weekly cocktail competition that pits six veteran and six apprentice bartenders against each other in an effort to create a selection of cocktails that pair perfectly with Chef Jonathan Chovancek’s chosen three course menu. Each cocktail must also make use of one of Kale & Nori’s Bittered Sling Extracts. We think the competition is a great way of promoting both the line of bitters and the catering services that Kale and Nori provide.
